NAIROBI, May 22(Xinhua) -- Biodiversity is a major asset for the African continent as it contains an estimated one-fifth of all known species of mammals, birds and plants in the world.

Let's appreciate the African plansts on the International Day for Biological Diversity which falls on Saturday.
