  • Growing Instructions

Dill is hardy down to zone 2, but is not frost tender. Under ideal growing conditions, it can grow to be about 5 feet tall when in full bloom. Dill does not like to be transplanted, so it is best to direct sow the seeds in early spring when the ground is moist. it will grow in the summer too, as lng as extra effort is taken to ensure that the seeds dont dry out between sowing and when they sprout. It thrives best in full sun, but will also produce decently when grown in partial shade. It likes loamy or sandy soils, and doesn’t seem to be too particular to PH. lovage does like the soil to be free draining, but at the same time thrives on a regular and consistent water supply. These plants are drought, flood, deer, and pest resistant, and can provide one with high quality food for many years to come.
