Ocotea Essential Oil

Background

The large Peruvian Ocotea tree is found in the Amazonian wilderness and has been used for over 500 years! Both the leaves and flowers are distilled in the creation of this exquisite Essential Oil. Traditionally, Ocotea has been a part of spiritual rituals, and we still love it for purification practices today.

About the Oil

Ocotea Essential Oil is a complex scent that combines a bit of sweetness with spice and just a touch of floral. We love this Essential Oil for topical applications, as it is a nice anti-inflammatory that can soothe skin. Additionally, Ocotea is full of sesquiterpenes which makes it a very calming oil that may help to reduce stress.

How to Use Ocotea

  1. Enhance Meditation and/or Prayer: Dilute with a carrier oil, then apply to wrists or chest and inhale to deepen your spiritual experience.
  2. Cleanse Your Face: Mix a drop or two of Ocotea into your natural facial soap and wash to help ease irritation and clean the skin.
  3. Stress Less: Diffuse Ocotea alone or with other oils like Vanilla or Patchouli to calm anxiety and bring peace.
