May's Highlight employee of the month is Alexander Kais, our clinic director for the Fife clinic. Alex has been a rockstar since his promotion last Summer. He has grown the Fife clinic from a 1 FTE to 2 FTE clinic. Alex brings great passion and energy to his patients.
Here is a Q&A with Alex:
How did I get started with ATI:
I was hired onto ATI as a new grad through their Clinical Pathways program. The program dove into what ATI's core values were and an introduction into how to connect and build trust with all different types of people and was a great kickstart to my career.
What do I love about being a PT:
The best part of being a PT is the ability to be a detective. You have to listen well to truly understand what is going on with your patients and then test and re-test objective measurements frequently to ensure your hypothesis is correct.
What is the key aspect you focus on to ensure patients have access to care and a great experience:
The most important factor to me is that my patients feel comfortable when they are in my clinic. I always try to learn at least 2-3 personal details about my patient during an evaluation and spend a good portion of my session talking about those details. Everything after that is easy once you make that connection and patients are more willing to put their trust in you and truly commit to your plan of care for them.
What do you love most about working at the Fife clinic and that patient population?
The best part about working at the Fife clinic is our team environment. Coming to work feels more like hanging out with friends and we are always helping each other out making the day easier for all of us. Our patient population quickly understands the vibe of the clinic and it almost always puts them more at ease and it ends up becoming a group session of people hanging out while working towards their personal goals.
Why do you love being part of ATI?
ATI has been good to me ever since I joined the company. I have had great mentors who have helped me with my career as a clinician and clinic director, which has allowed me to figure out my own way of treating and create the laid-back environment that I pride my clinic in having.
Fun Facts: During my free time you can find me playing my electric guitar, working out, hiking, or attempting to play golf.
Thanks, Alex, for all your hard work. We appreciate having you on the D31 team.
