This stunning vintage botanical image 'Hexand. Mono (Mimusops obovata)', is from Clemenz Heinrich Wehdemann's drawings of plants collected at Cape Town (1817-1820) . Wehdemann was a German soldier, artist and naturalist in the service of the Dutch East India Company when he arrived in Cape Town. He was  the son of a church minister and who home schooled him and provided him with a good education.

    • Framed or unframed, avoid placing prints in direct sunlight as UV light can cause the colours to fade over time.
    • Do not place artificial lights too close to artworks
    • Keep away from moisture, humidity and excessive temperatures. Excessive heat or excessive cold will damage both the frame and the artwork. Never place artworks near a fire or above a radiator and avoid warm and humid rooms such as the kitchen or bathroom
