Alata Mix, as a native to tropical African climates, can bloom year-round indoors and in warm winter climates. These work well as a fence cover or privacy fence and are great in the ground or in pots or containers.

Indoors: Start indoors in late fall for indoor growth during cold winters, or direct outdoors in spring. For early blooms, start indoors 6 – 8 weeks before the last frost.
Outdoors: Sow direct after the last frost.
Stake the seedlings early, the will vine up quickly! And offer fencing or trellis, something for them to climb on.
The roots don't like sitting in wet soil but they also don't like being hot and dry. Try to keep them moderately moist.
In warm climates, Thumbergia vines often propagate on their own, with new plants growing from seeds the plant dropped on the ground.
