The Bamboo palm is a perfect indoor palm. It grows well in the lower light-levels found indoors. It grows as a clump with numerous stems at the base, and upright fronds that can grow very tall, even in a pot indoors, 6-10 ft.

Bamboo palms (Chamaedorea seifrizii) are not bamboo at all but are a type of palm in the Araceae family. These tropical plants are native to Mexico and Central America and grow naturally as forest understory plants. They are listed on NASA’s clean air varieties list

Does not like to be in full sun, so give it bright indirect light/ some shade will work too.

Water it when the top few inches of the soil have become dry, and always water until some come through the drainage hole(s) of the pot. Avoid over-and under- watering.

Use ½ strength foliage-plant fertilizer regularly from spring to fall. You could even mist the plant regularly.

If you have it outdoors for summer place it in a shady spot but remember to bring it inside when the temperature gets to 65F.

Likes it warm and humid.
