Xanthocercis zambesiaca commonly known as Hoenderspoor or Njalaboom in Afrikaans and Nyala Tree in English is a South African indigenous species from the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces. It is synonymously known as Pseudocadia zambesiaca. Xanthocercis zambesiaca grows into an evergreen tree of up to 25 meters tall. During summer this beautiful tree bears white rose-scented flowers which are followed by edible yellow-brown berries.
