Last of the spotted South African aloes... this one pretty darn hard to tell from Aloe maculata... in fact, other than it's flowering time and general flower layout, no way. Both are suckering, small to mid-sized spotted aloes with impressively nasty teeth and excellent cold hardiness (down in the low 20s to high teens). Flowers of this one are spread out on very highly branched open racemes of either dull, pale pink-red to pale yellow.. and tend to flower multiple times a year from late fall to late spring.
