Even before the opening of Kalahari’s African-themed resort in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania in summer of 2015, plans were underway for a second hotel tower. A phased approach allowed the opening of the resort much earlier, thus kick-starting the revenue stream.

The resort has become the ultimate destination for families, young couples, business travelers and anyone seeking a complete, immersive resort experience.

Phase II construction provided not only hundreds of additional guest rooms, but an indoor theme park expansion, more retail stores and an additional fitness center. The resort has plenty of reasons to boast:

• Overall resort size: 1.5 million square feet

• Industry-busting 220,000-SF indoor waterpark (under one roof) - largest in the US

• Outdoor waterpark

• Nearly 1,000 well-appointed guest rooms; full-service luxury spa/salon

• 100,000-SF convention center

• 3 signature restaurants

• 6,000 SF of retail space

• 40,000-SF arcade/family entertainment center

"My experience with other architects, designers and design-builders has ranged from adequate to disappointing. However, your consistent delivery of highly creative projects, on-time, within budget and with minimal change orders are the reasons that we turned to ADCI and the reason that we’ll continue to use ADCI."
