A novel 1- (4-butoxy-2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(3-bromophenyl) prop-2-en-1-one has been synthesized by chemical method. IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR are use to characterized the synthesized product. To explore the structural features of the compound X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) pattern has been recorded and it confirms that the title compound, C19H19BrO3 belongs to triclinic system with a = 9.6796 (0.0135), b = 16.6991 (0.0235), c = 9.6056 (0.0176) Å, α =103.68(0.110) β = 99.87(0.109) and γ = 76.94(0.112) °. The resultant product has been tested for its biological responded against different panel of bacteria and fungal.
Chalcones are 1, 3-diphenyl-2-propene-1-one, consist of two aromatic rings linked by a three carbon α, β-unsaturated carbonyl system. The chemistry of chalcones has generated intensive scientific studies throughout the world. Especially interest has been focused on the synthesis and biodynamic activities of chalcones. These are considered to be precursors of flavonoids and isoflavonoids. The aim of this review is to summarize chalcones and their diverse pharmacological activities like anticancer, antimicrobial, analgesic and antiviral activities etc. INTRODUCTION: Chalcones are well known intermediates for synthesizing various heterocyclic compounds. The compounds with the backbone of chalcones have been reported to possess various biological activities such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiplatel, antiulcerative, antimalarial, anticancer, antiviral, antileishmanial, Antioxidant, Antitubercular, antihyperglycemic, activities. A Glimpse of the Molecule ChalconeThe compound chalcone is very common which can available by synthetic means and naturally occurring from plant sources. These compounds have predominant value for their abundant properties with less adverse impacts on biological systems. The naturally occurring chalcone belongs to the flavonoid family. Chalcones are structural with two aromatic rings connected with three carbon alpha & beta unsaturated carbonyl systems. They possess many pharmacological activities like anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, antifungal, anti leishmanial activities based on the substituents substituted on them. Benzene rings containing conjugated double bonds and completely delocalized pi electron system, molecules possessing this system have low redox potential and greater electron transfer reactions. This review article covers the chemistry, synthesis, biological activities, Isolation of natural or synthesized derivatives of chalcone. The main entity of this article is to summarize the expansion of this molecule related to the structural entities and pharmacological actions.

Antioxidants, anti malaria, anti tubercular, antiviral, anti-Inflammatory and antiduretic agents. Some chalcone have been reported as inhibitors of lipoxygenase, beta-secretase(BACEI),cyclogenase, peroxisome. The synthesis of various classes of chalcone and their mode of pharmacological applications have been reviewed. The broad pharmacological applications of chalcones. The case of synthesis and the increased resistance of available chalcones are pharmacologically active compound, it is chemically known as derivatives of 1,3-diphenylprop-2-en-1-one.They have found applications as anticancer, anti-diabetic,anti-HIV, chemotherapeutic agent informed this review. For the preparation of different chalcone products we used magnetic stirring machine to get the solidified product. prepared five different chalcone products namely benzylidene acetophenone, 2,hydroxy benzylidene acetophenone,4,hydroxy benzylidene acetophenone, To determine the functional group, structure and molecular weight .of the chalcones..From FT-IR method the presence of functional groups are analysed, using H 1-NMR spectroscopy number of H atoms are detected ,on the bases of H atoms present in the sample structure of the chalcone is determined and to know the molecular weight of the sample Mass spectroscopy is used.

Chalcone: A Valuable Insight into the Recent Advances and Potential Pharmacological Activities2011 •
Chalcones, precursors of open chain flavonoids and isoflavonoids present in edible plants, and their derivatives have attracted increasing attention due to numerous potential pharmacological applications. They have displayed a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities. Changes in their structure have offered a high degree of diversity that has proven useful for the development of new medicinal agents having improved potency and lesser toxicity. The present review highlights the recently synthesized chalcones and their derivatives possessing important pharmacological activities.
Heterocyclic ring containing chalcones were regarded as useful scaffolds in organic synthesis for the construction of biologically potent molecules. Apart from their synthetic utility, these chalcones themselves possess enormous amount biological applications, and also physicochemical properties. The structural modification, introduction of different substituents in the synthesized compounds proved to be dynamic strategies for enhanced biological profiles of the drugs. In this context, we have attempted to summarize the recent developments in the field of heteroaryl chalcones in recent years together in this review article. The emphasis was given for the synthetic protocols, the exploration of these chalcones to medicinally potent molecules, and biological activity potencies were critically discussed in depth. The discussion made on the physico-chemical properties, particularly of photosensing and NLO properties would be beneficial to those who are undertaken research in this area.

New Chalcone Derivative: Synthesis, Characterization, Computational Studies and Antioxidant Activity2019 •
A new chalcone derivative, called as 1-(4-(benzylideneamino)phenyl)-3-(furan-2-yl)prop-2- en-1-one (I), was synthezised and characterized by spectral methods (infrared (IR) and proton and carbon- 13 nuclear magnetic resonance (1H- and 13C-NMR) spectroscopy). A computational study was performed by the density functional theory (DFT) method. Spectral data of compound I optimized by using 6-311G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets were obtained by 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The E-Z isomerism for newly synthesized chalcone derivative was investigated by considering four isomeric form, E/E, E/Z, Z/E and Z/Z. The results show that, as assumed and thus named, the chalcone derivative is in the E/E form. In addition, quantum chemical parameters were calculated by using DFT method with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. Antioxidant activity of compound I was determined by the ferric reducing ability of plasma (FRAP) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay methods. Compound I has low antioxidant acti...

Chalcones have been well examined in the extant literature and demonstrated antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. A detailed evaluation of the purported health benefits of chalcone and its derivatives, including molecular mechanisms of pharmacological activities, can be further explored. Therefore, this review aimed to describe the main characteristics of chalcone and its derivatives, including their method synthesis and pharmacotherapeutics applications with molecular mechanisms. The presence of the reactive α,β-unsaturated system in the chalcone’s rings showed different potential pharmacological properties, including inhibitory activity on enzymes, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, antiprotozoal, and anti-filarial activity. Changing the structure by adding substituent groups to the aromatic ring can increase potency, reduce toxicity, and broaden pharmacological action. This report also summarized the potentia...
