The native range of this species is E. South Sudan, SW. Ethiopia, N. Kenya (Mt. Marsibit). It is a shrub or tree and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. It is used to treat unspecified medicinal disorders, has environmental uses and social uses, as animal food, a medicine and invertebrate food and for food.
