Plants herbs or small shrubs. Leaves digitetately compound, with 3 leaflets. Inflorescences terminal, usually short racemes or subumbeliform, rarely solitary flowers. Calyces deeply 2-lipped, lower lips shortly 3-lobed, upper lips deeplly 2-fid; corollas yellow; keels obtuse; stamens united by their filaments into a tube, usually without a split on the upper side. Pods linear-oblong, compressed, dehiscent.
Argyrolobium is a genus of about 80 species, most of which are native to souther Africa. Two species grow in both Somaliland and Somalia.
