A preferred nesting site of Apis dorsata and Trigona sp. The honey from these flowers will be watery. The bark along with cumin is used to treat fevers and drive away evil spirits. Tamarind should not be used while taking this medicine.
Wood is very soft and used for making catamarans, boxes, trays and toys.
