This award-winning duo will light up your winter garden while many other plants are still sleeping. Glossy evergreen holly like leaves, flowers rich in colour and ornamental berries adding year-round colour and interest to your garden.Thriving in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, bees and pollinators will love the nectar rich flowers, while birds and other wildlife will appreciate the berries. Both varieties are recipients of the RHS's Award of Garden Merit for outstanding performance in the gardennitens 'Cabaret' - H: 1.5m S: 1m, compact, dark green foliage, flushed red when young bearing racemes of flaming orange buds and rich yellow blooms from March to August. Small blue-grey berries in autumn. Great for a container and excellent ground cover. Hardy, RHS rating H4.x media 'Winter Sun' - H: 5m S: 4m, green foliage, strings of fragrant, dainty yellow flowers from November to March followed by deep blue-black berries. Perfect for planting at the back of a border. Hardy, RHS rating H5.
