Description
This Meadow-rue maidenhair fern grows to 2′ tall with black arching stipes that are sprinkled with pale yellow dust and occasional hairs. Bright green pinnules with sori that are covered by a rolled flap of leaf tissue that resemble indusium.
Does best when planted in light shade with well drained humus rich soil and kept evenly moist. Cut back fronds mid winter when dormant. Propagation best by dividing and growing from spores.
