About Syngonium 'Holly'
Syngonium podophyllum is a popular, easy-to-care-for houseplant with beautiful arrowhead shaped leaves. You’ll often see these plants grown in their juvenile stage, but given something to climb on and abundant sunlight you may see them mature into their adult stage! The leaf shape changes as they mature and may even appear to split into three individual leaves. In the wild they can climb up to 65 feet tall. Be sure to handle them with care, as their sap contains oxalic acid which can be very irritating to the skin and eyes. 👀

Syngonium 'Holly' can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.

How to fertilize Syngonium 'Holly'
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Syngonium 'Holly' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What color is this syngonium? I’m guessing either white butterfly or moonshine? Maybe it’s some other color? Thank you! #Syngonium #PlantID

Does anyone know if this is a syngonium butterfly or what it is? I bought this syngonium thinking it was a white butterfly but I'm not sure. If it isn't that's okay but I'm just curious as to what it is. I'm also willing to separate a peice for someone who wants it if it is or it isn't as long as we trade for something weather that be an interesting planter or interesting plant. I use Instagram but you can DM me on there for my Facebook. I just recently got this so you'll have to wait a few months in order to get it though; I want it to be in the best shape when it goes out to you. I should inform you that it was over watered because they never emptied the cachepot. #help #syngonium #syngoniumsquad #identify

ID please! I THINK this is a white butterfly but I want to know what y’all think! This was a grocery store find from my cousin-plant-drag-mom and was labeled as “assorted foliage” 🤦🏻♀️ pics of very different leaves all from the same plant. #Syngonium #SyngoniumSquad #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #SOBER #PlantsSavedMyMentalHealth #PlantID

Do you have a routine for your self care with your plants? Love the weekends when I have the fortitude to care for my plants and myself beyond some basic watering. I like to brew up a big pot of tea 🫖 and eat some toast 🍞 as a pre-breakfast snack (and maybe some chocolate 🍫 because I survived another week of adulting 😮💨😬) and then get at it! 💖 Astrud, my #thaiconstellationmonstera has needed repotting ever since I got her through #plantmail in Feb. Today I *finally* got her settled into a bigger pot with some nice, chunky and airy soil. Saw some new growth just peeking in between some stems so I hope the repotting won't distress her too much. But yay to #newgrowth! Jenny my #philodedronjosebuono is another plant that has needed repotting since I got her in Feb (yes with Astrud - gotta remember that online sales means they'll probably need repotting soon!). She has pups so her pot is getting crowded. Added some diatomaceous earth to a couple of plants that seem to be the main source of fungus gnats. Have been bottom watering, wiping down leaves on all plants with a neem-based houseplant spray (for the spider mites) and using sticky traps up until now but the few pests around are really starting to bug me (pun fully intended 😆) and I know they'll just get worse if I don't step up the pest control a bit. Looking at co-planting Cyndi my #mariaallusion #syngonium with an assortment of plants to make it more of a party in a pot... cuz girls just wanna have fun... and now I realize I chose the right name for her after all 🤣 Co-planting suggestions welcome: https:// Lots of good stuff happening for a lot of my plants in my little oasis but these are just some of the ones on the watering schedule for today. 🥰 This is all I can manage to do at the moment as I'm also learning how to take better care of myself. Yay for a #plantcareisselfcare weekend! What's your plant self care routine #gregfam? Share a plant pic while you're at it! 😁

Besides over/under watering what else could cause yellow spots on leaves of my syngonium? Ever since I brought Ruby home, I have been struggling to help her get rid of her yellow spots on her leaves? I do believe I’m watering her correctly but the spotting persists. It primarily happens along leaf edges. Any advice would greatly be appreciated! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #SadPlant #GregGang #Syngonium #SyngoniumSquad #GreggersSupportingGreggers

I couldn’t wait for #FreshLeafFriday, I have #NewGrowth on so many plants! My Pink Splash Thai #Syngonium has a beautiful new leaf, with two more coming close behind! My #Alocasia Jungle Cat/Zebrina (still not sure) has a ✨huge✨ new leaf about to unfurl and I can’t wait! Another syngonium has a ton of new shiny leaves, as does my #PinkFleckedSyngonium! Calista (pic no. 4) has 6 new leaves all in the past ten days! She is BUSY! And I wanted to share an update on the root regrowth on my #TigerToothAloe; she lost all her roots back when I was an inexperienced newbie to succulents, and I’ve been patiently trying to root her in water. Well, I added a little bit of the Grow formula from We the Wild (not sponsored but would be, gladly, lol!), and they really got going! I now have multiple nice, long roots. I think at this rate, she willl be ready for repotting in another month 🤗🪴🥳 #SyngoniumSquad #RootPorn #ArrowheadPlant #GregGang #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #PlantTherapy #PLANTMAFIA #babevila

Variegation on Pink Syngonium My pink syngonium put out some beautiful variegated leaves over the winter. Has this happened to any of yours before and/or does anyone know why? I’m doing my best to encourage it and having mild success. I started props from the nodes below the variegation. The props kept in low light seem to be more consistent. My guess is the plant is making more chlorophyll to compensate. The original stem has put out one highly variegated itty bitty baby leaf. I’d love some more tips for increasing variegation if you have any. (PS the two original leaves [pictured] are aging and faded now, probably also a bit worn out from being cloned a few times. These props have been going for months.) #PropagationStation #Syngonium #variegatedplants

So I don’t typically step out of the monstera / pothos box very much, but yesterday a friend gave me this beautiful 3 Kings Syngonium & I’ve been reading up on care for these guys but any other personal recommendations are very much welcome! Please let me know any/all your Syngonium secrets 🫶🏻 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PlantLove #Syngonium
