Tree to 30 m. Leaves ovate to oblong, minutely scaly beneath, with acarodomatia. Flowers in lax axillary cymose panicles, white or tinged pink, fragrant. Mar.--June. Coastal bush and rocky slopes, SW, AP, LB, SE (Cape Peninsula to Mpumalanga).
