Common Name or Meaning The Veined Mystacidium
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in Mozambique, Swaziland, Cape Province, Natal and Transvaal South Africa in woodland and riverine forest bush and coastal and montane forests at elevations of 500 to 1700 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 2 to 4, deciduous, elliptic to oblanceolate, unequally bilobed apically, venation distinctly darker leaves that blooms in the winter, with or without leaves, on a pendant, usually several, densely 4 to 12 flowered, thick, 1 to 4" [2.5 to 10 cm] long, racemose inflorescence carrying nocturnally, sweetly scented flowers.
