Description:
Perrennial trailing plants with many divaricate, sub quadrangular branches, often prostrate and rooting at nodes. Leaves opposite, 2-3 x 1-2.5 cm, broadly elliptic or obovate, obtuse, base narrowed, glabrous or pubescent; petiole 0.5-1 cm long. Flowers solitary or in cluster up to 4, axillary, susessile; bracts 0; bracteoles 2 mm long, narrowly linear. Calyx 5 mm long, divided about 2/3 towards base, lobes subulate. Corolla violet-pink as long as the calyx, lobes oblong, rounded, spreading. Stamens didynamous, one short and one long filaments united at base; anther cells spurred at base. Capsules 7 mm long; seeds 5, broadly elliptic, densely hairy with white hairs when wet.
