Glaucium flavum - Yellow horned poppy

Glaucium flavum or Yellow horned poppy is a biennial plant with four silky petals, which quickly drop, after which the long curved seed-pods develop.. Leaves are grey-green, and well-cut. They are covered with fine short hairs, which will protect the leaf surface from the salty conditions in which it lives.

It is found in salty, sandy places with much organic debris; river beds, dry paths, dunes, rocky places at low altitude. Flowers from April to August
