Cutleaf Toothwort is one of many toothworts in the mustard family.  It is a perennial with short stems growing from a rhizome.  The leaves are a whorl of three stem leaves with narrow toothed segments.  The white flowers (sometimes light pink to lavender) bloom from March to May in moist rich woods.  You may see a large colony together as the stems and flowers shoot up from the rhizomes that spread underground.
