Commonly known as the Coastal Tree Daisy, this is a fast growing shrub with impressive flowering. This NZ native features petite, white flowers in late summer which have a pleasant vanilla fragrance. They are complemented with small leaves which are green on the topside and yellow beneath. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of coastal conditions, wind, and periods of dry, and a range of soil conditions, barring extreme wet or dry. The Coastal Tree Daisy is commonly included in a mixed or native planting, trimmed into a hedge, or used as a lovely backdrop for smaller plants.
