Massive 6-12” tallgentian blue spikes appearall Summer long on this well-behaved, densely matting groundcover. We love this hard to find, dependable “Bugleweed” for its larger spikes of flowers & glossy, low, ground-hugging foliage. Spreading to 2’ across, it’s not stoloniferous & therefore NOT INVASIVE (like the more common Ajuga reptans) so you can use it for smaller areas & alongside pathways. Wonderful at the edge of a bed & in rock gardens as it does appreciate good drainage. Added plus – it thrives in both sun & bright shade. VERY COLD HARDY!
