immergrüner Strauch bis zu 2 m mit zart behaarten Stengeln und wechselständig angeordneten, gelappten, zart behaarten, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die langgestielten, bis zu 6 cm großen, strahlend schwefelgelben Blüten mit maronenfarbenem Zentrum erscheinen in den Blattachseln
