Jagged Chickweed

Stems erect, unbranched, with glands midstem. Leaves clustered on lower stem, 1–4 pairs, opposite, widely egg-shaped, to 1 in. long, hairless or with few glands on hairs on edges. Inflorescence tops stem with long stalks in shape of umbrella, flowers at tips. Flowers white, 5 narrow petals with uneven edges. Grows in meadows, disturbed soils to 4500 ft. Called jagged chickweed for the uneven tips of the flower petals.
