Aloe macleayi coming into bud in the garden. A species long known only from the Imatong Mtns of South Sudan, I co-authored a paper a few years ago documenting its geographic range down into Northern Acholiland in Uganda. Last year I also discovered colonies of this species through several areas of West Nile region in NW Uganda.
