Sasaella ramosa is also called the Pleioblastus viridistriatus Vagans.
The young leaves of this bamboo are small but eventually become 10 cm long. The leaves are green in color and soft.
In the winter, the leaf edges turn to white and give a nice contrast.

This bamboo is often used as sub-planting or for planting. Furthermore, this type of bamboo is also suitable as sub-planting of, for example, larger types of bamboo such as certain Phyllostachys species.
The culms of the Sasaella ramosa are green in color and thin.
From April / May, the bamboo will quickly make new fresh shoots.
This bamboo also proliferates and a root limiter is needed.
