Common Name Ball's Bulbophyllum [English Botanist 1900's]

Found in Zambia and Zimbabwe in lowland evergreen and riverine forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with close set, ovoid to ellipsoid, hardly to moderately flattened, 4 angle pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2 apical, erect, coriaceous, thick, midrib slightly prominent abaxially, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer on a basal, erect to patent, to 3" [7.5 cm] long, several flowered, slighly swollen apically, spindle shaped inflorescence
