Verbena hastata 'Blue Spires'

Verbena is a large and variable genus ranging from tiny ground covers to towering beauties. All have clustered flowers that attract hordes of pollinators.

American blue vervain is a towering eastern North American native that can be found growing in moist meadows, along streambanks, and in fields. Tall spikes of purple-blue flowers are particularly attractive to butterflies. Foliage is coarse.
