Detailed description
Evergreen shrub to about 2 m high. Leaves to about 5 x 1 cm, glabrous on both sides, shining above and pale green below. Leaf margins serrulate along whole margin. White flowers produced in small clusters, followed by red or orange-red globbose fruit to 6 mm wide.
Similar taxa
Can easily be separated from P. angustifolia as it has longer leaves that are glabrous on the undersurface. Easily confused with P. crenatoserrata , but P. crenulata has narrower leaves with teeth along the whole margin.
