 Recognition
  • a low-growing perennial rush up to 25 cm high, mat-forming or densely tufted, with prostrate rooting stems.
  • its stems are slender, swollen at the nodes, and rooting.
  • its inflorescence is variable, unbranched or branched and open, and few-flowered.
  • its capsules are 2-2.5 mm long, light brown, and with flattened apices.
