Common Name: Barren strawberry
Description: This delightful groundcover forms a dense mat of shiny leaves that somewhat resemble those of a strawberry. This low-maintenance selection is studded by little yellow flowers in the spring. It grows 4-6 inches tall with a spread of 12-18 inches.
Hardiness: USDA Hardiness Zones 3-9.
Landscape Use: May be used to cover large or small areas, spreading steadily by stolons, but not considered invasive. It’s a good choice for partial to full shade. Easily divided in spring or early fall. Combines well with spring-blooming bulbs.
Attributes: Drought tolerant once established. Evergreen in mild winter regions.
