Growth Form It is an aquatic plant floating on the surface of water.
Foliage Its leaves are thick, round and glossy, measuring about 5 - 10 cm in diameter. The leaves are usually floating on the surface of water, but sometimes can be emergent.
Flowers Its flowers have 3 large, yellow and delicate petals, resembling the Poppy flowers, hence the common name.
