Iva Dixit started out as an editorial intern at Elle India, reporting on Fashion Week whilst also studying for her BA Honors in English Literature from Lady Shriram College. In 2014, while working towards a Masters degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, she co-founded The 545, a site that used data and visuals to report on the 2014 general elections in India. Prior to joiningNewsweek as Deputy Social Media & Engagement Editor, she worked with The Economist, coordinating digital production on video and social strategy for their programming and live events.
