Description
Vigorous, very early lush green foliage with fresh white 'fringed' blooms, up to 100cm in height. Long season of interest and makes a dense clump crowding out competition. Interesting dry seed heads at end of season, but prone to crumpling by then.
Provenance
Brought initially by our first gardener, George Watson, and multiplying ever since!
Cultivation
Happy in shade or sun, and in wet soil too.
Maintenance
We find that one or more brutal 'Chelsea chops' in early spring - sometimes just on one part of a big swathe - can improve bushiness of the plant, meaning it's less likely to fall over in wet conditions.
