Blackstonia acuminata is a species in the genus Blackstonia which contains between 6 and 7 species and belongs to the family of the Gentianaceae (Gentian Family). Blackstonia acuminata was first described and the name validly published by Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Koch and Johann Baptist Ziz but was revised and reclassified by Karel Domin in 1933.
