Very cool of some of the Ehrharta species is that they produce pseudobulbs, i.e. underground storage organs for the harsh times (but obviously unlike true bulbs which are mostly fleshy leaf bases and a contracted stem). Only a few others have this, viz ottonis, eburnea, bulbosa and longifolia. See the pictures. They are very useful ID feature for these guys.
