Flower: White rounded cluster
Leaves: 2½ inches long and 1 inch wide, narrowly egg-shaped to elliptic, pointed at tip, serrated edges, finely hairy underside, short stalked, oppositely arranged, leaves strongly aromatic when crushed, square stems
Fruit/Seed: 4 oval nutlets, each containing a single seed
Height: 6-24 inches
Flowering: July - September
Habitat: thickets, along shores, wet meadows
