Flavora is a mat forming variety of Cheddar pink with quite large flowers for an alpine perennial. In summer 2-3 cm wide flowers are produced atop wiry stems. They are scented, heavily dissected at margins, and combine several shades of pink petals and rich red eye in the centre. The leaves are evergreen in mild winters, linear, grey-green or silvery blue-green and form a dense mound if regularly sheared after flowering.

Dwarf pinks love free draining but not very dry, neutral to slightly alkaline soils. They respond well to reasonable fertilizing when flowers are produced. Hardy to about -34°C (USDA zone 4).
