Description:

Graceful succulent from the drooping trend, perfect to bring harmony to your environments giving rise to wonderful waterfalls hanging vases or shelves. It is made up of slender stems and covered with down that are almost completely hidden by small round leaves, a kind of graceful miniatures enriched by jagged margins that are abundantly compacted along the stem. The epidermis, of a nice bright light green that in the sun takes on pleasant shades of peach pink, is protected by a thick whitish down that gives the succulent an almost velvety appearance, with silvery reflections in sunny places. In spring and autumn Plectranthus will delight you with its showy spur-shaped flowers in mauve tones. Perhaps not many know that this plant contains large amounts of essential oils with a pleasant mint scent, the same aroma that emanate its leaflets when rubbed!

Plant care:

It loves shady but very bright locations, while avoiding direct sunlight which could burn the young leaves.

It prefers a mild climate around 20 ° C; when the temperatures drop below about 10 ° C it is advisable to place the plant under cover.

Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry, in spring and summer. In colder periods it is advisable to reduce the water intake even more.

A well-draining substrate is optimal, consisting of specific soil for cacti to which pumice or sand can be added to make it even more porous.

It does not require frequent fertilization, it will be sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with water for irrigation once a year.
