It has long dark green leaves that have undulated margins.  Aponogeton rigidifolius is not a bulb plant like most Aponogeton sp.  Instead, this species has long, thin rhizomes, and requires no rest period.  Over time, in excellent conditions, the plant will spread into an impressive stand.
