Poor Man's Orchid produces an abundance of orchid-like flowers in shades of pink, purple, red and white including bi-colors. Long blooming and excellent as cut flowers. Also known as Butterfly Flower. Attractive to many beneficial insects. 18" tall x 8-12” spread. Full sun. (Schizanthus x wisetonensis)

Seed sowing instructions: Best if sown directly in the garden after all danger of frost. Seed can also be sown indoors in early early winter or spring to enjoy the blooms indoors. Sow on the surface of a good seed-starting mix, in warm temperatures, 70-75 degrees F. They can then be transplanted out when large enough to handle and temperatures stay above freezing.
