Latin Name: Phlebodium aureum Blue Star
Common Name: Golden Polypody
Characteristics: The Phlebodium Blue Star, more commonly known as the Golden Polypody, is a houseplant that is widely regarded as unique and unusual when compared to other indoor plants. The foliage of the plant is a green shade which, once again makes it standout from similar plants such as Ferns. The fronds on this plant are elongated, which means the droop down over the edge of the pot like most Ferns, but the Blue Star has more length to each frond.
Plant Advice: The Phlebodium Blue Star will appreciate being placed in areas with bright, indirect light. Watering the Golden Polypody should be done once every two weeks, with misting done in between to keep it thriving to a good extent. You should always water from the sides rather than on the fronds, however, as that will damage them over time.

Phlebodium Blue Star is an indoor Fern plant which has some more lush and clean foliage in comparison to other Ferns. Each leaf is elongated and still has that drooping nature about them to create that look of the classic Fern, however, the droop is less noticeable on the Bue Star. More commonly known as the Golden Polypody, you should place this plant in areas where you can guarantee the plant regular access to light shade. Then, when watering, you should make sure to do this once every two weeks, whilst misting the plant in between waterings. Always water the Blue Star from the side and not directly onto the plants fronds.
