Nicotiana rustica is a wild tobacco and is ceremonially used by Native Americans. It is also called Mapacho Tobacco in South America and Thuoc Lao in Vietnam. But like so many plants, there are literally dozens of names for this same plant. So always remember the Nicotiana rustica.

Medicinal - Folklore :

The Onondagas Native American nation, considered the rustica to be “Real Tobacco,’ and also used it in their formula for protection against bad spirits, or witches, as did the Iroquois.

Hang the leaves to dry for use in ceremonies. By looping a rubber band around the ends of several gathered leaves, as they dry they will shrink but the rubber band will still hold.
