Product information
The English bluebell is a hardy bulb that belongs to the genus Hyacinthoides, and has other names such as Endymion non-scriptus, Scilla non-scripta, and Scilla nutans. These bulbs produce lovely violet-blue flowers that hang from slender stems and have a sweet fragrance. They are native to the UK and other parts of Europe, and are often found in woodlands, where they grow in the shade of deciduous trees. They are ideal for creating a natural and woodland look in your garden, or for adding some colour and scent to your grassy areas. They are also attractive to insects, such as bees and butterflies, that help pollinate them. They will multiply each year and form a dense carpet of spring colour. They grow up to 25cm (9.8") tall and 8cm (3.1") wide, and bloom in April and May.
