Lavender Star Flower(Grewia occidentalis)

This species is sometimes found as 'Grewia caffra'. The real Grewia caffra is a different species, very seldom found in cultivation, with yellow flowers.
The Lavender Star Flower can be used for espaliers or hedges, but will need regular trimming not to become a flat mound. I can be cut back hard if it becomes too large. Fertilize 3 time a year with fertilizer for acid loving plants, and use iron supplement if it becomes chlorotic.

Blooming Habits:
Pink, 1 inch wide flowers at the end of the spring, and then, occasionally the rest of the year.
