    Germination Instructions

    Sow under glass in late winter-spring. Prior to sowing chip or scarify seed then soak in warm water for 24 hours. Sow 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 16-20°C. Germination takes 7-21 days but can be erratic taking up to 3 months. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on under glass for the first winter. Acclimatise and plant out the following spring after danger of frost has passed.

    Growing Instructions

    Prefers any, even poor, soil in full or partial sun. Can tolerate drought and exposed sites but not coastal planting. Requires little attention.
