Iris FoetidIssima - Stinking Iris is 1 of 2 irises native to England. This plant blooms in Spring but the neatest part for me was the bright orange- red seed pods that stay attached and burst open all over the plant. The flower is pale lavender with dark purple veining and yellow fringes and is attractive on it's own but the pods are really something.
