The Spartium junceum is the only species in the Spartium genus. The Spanish broom, also known as rush broom or weaver's broom, is a flowering plant of the Fabaceae family. It has thick, slightly succulent grey-green rush-like stems with tiny, long and wide deciduous leaves. The leaves aren't very important to the plant, as the green shoots do most of the photosynthesis. Early in the season, the leaves begin to fall away. Late in the spring and summer, the stems are covered in fragrant yellow pea-like blooms that range in size from 1 to 2 cm wide. The legumes become black in the late summer. They exploded open, typically with a loud crack, dispersing seed from the parent plant.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
